WEIRDNESS

Its funny how people can sometimes get your name wrong...usual wud be 'ZETTY', 'ZETI' 'ZETTIE' and the furthest ppl wud go is 'ZATTY'. However that day @ d office, a despatch guy came with a note searching for a 'ZAPI KAMAR'? (Macam 'hati kama' je). Nearest sounding name wud definately be mine kan & true enough it was for me...

I was like...What d H*LL? God, wonder how they 'creatively' came up with that name...HMMM! Klaka pun yer jgak.

B.A.R.N.E.Y. Fever!

Arissa is soooooooo into Mr PURPLE - B.A.R.N.EY ;) Once at home, tak sempat mummy letak handbag lagi dah sebut 'Barney'2! (mintak mummy pasangkan CD Barney). If we were to go to malls, she will look out for Barney. Since d Barney items are quite spensive, so Mummy bought her tumbler first...

ANIMAL KINGDOM ;)

During d Labour's day hol- 1st May 2010 (Saturday) brought Arissa for her 1st Zoo trip. Told Mr Hubby, since Arissa is sooo into animals & is now able to identify animals...she ready for a trip to d Zoo. Mummy was d one who was all excited; got up early prepared light breakfast of specially fried sausages, egg sandwich & some snacks. Arissa who slept early d night before was still not up...so, had 2 wait for her to wake up. By d time we arrived it was 9.30am & d sun was already up.

It costs RM 25 per person (for adults) & RM 15 for video-cam, mahal jgak & tot it was gonna be worth it kot. The journey begins...First stop was d 'animal-touching' station. Proud of Arissa, she was not afraid of d snake & even touched it few times...

All in all, OK la. But sad & disheartening to see dat d Zoo was poorly managed & maintained. The 'kandang's look so buruk coz tak dibersihkan, paling pathetic d animals - they were OLD/ Veteren & Not WELL-FED (kurus-kering jer semua). Seriously, Arissa was so excited to see tiger but tiger was 'lemau' to d extend (bak kata Mr Hubby's office mate)..."tinggal tak meng-iau" je...hehe!

However, Ayah bought some leaves & sugarcane for Arissa to feed the giraffes & elephant. And yes, Arissa enjoyed feeding them...d animals ate them in a 'ZAP'! Siannn, lapa. So, those who have not been to Zoo Negara...nothing to lose coz its not up to mark. Tak rugi kalau tak pegi...hmm!

Hopefully one day can let Arissa experience 'Singapore National Zoo'...many say its definately worth it. So, ayah nanti bawak mummy & Arissa pegi yer...pleaseeeeeeee!

ONCE!

Arissa is currently in d 'parrot'ing phase & basically repeats wateva dat is said to her. Wateva dat she says/ repeats sure not less than 2 times...so, can be stressing at times! Especially when you just reached home after a hectic day of work, langkah jer masuk pintu...Barney mummy, barney...barney! (mintak mummy switch on kan CD Barney) ARGHHHH...stress, tak sempat letak handbag on d table pun lagi.

So, I wud usually say to her; "Arissa, say once enough"! Then, she reply back "ONCE'"! Aiyooo budak bertuah ini...Mummy can only smile & tak jadi marah ;p

2 weeks back was standing at my home's balcony when I was 'blinded' by bright lights. The source of the light was from a balcony from the opposite block. Ada shooting rupenyer...Called my husband, pastu d lil gal pun sebok dtg & nmpak lampu tu terus ckp 'wat dat mummy'?

Hmm, kiteorg pun busy-bod kat belakang tu, kot2 la nnati kuar tv jgak kelibat 3 branak ni. Walaupun tak tau citer aper. Then, sometime last week was at ibu's house watching 'AKASIA: ADAMAYA' yg pelakon main dier; Sein (Ruffedge) & Lisa Surihani. Tup2, suddenly saw this living room yang layout dia sgt similar & rolling, next scene kat balcony pulak...lagila familiar sangat. Wuhuuu! my balcony & 'sidai kain/ ampaian' was on TV! Now, the mystery is solved...shooting dat I saw dat day was for AdaMaya. Glamer rase.

So, been following d story off on whenever I get d chance (Mondays to Thursdays @ 6.30pm - 7.30pm) & yup, been seeing d crew almost every night doin shooting kat d balcony again & inside d house as well as at d clubhouse. Overall, ok la citer dia...quite enjoyable ;p

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION...FREEDOM OF SPEECH...OH WELL!

Tough when you can't express how you feel...and say what you want to say freely. Hmmm! Well, nothing much can be done but to abide. Anyways, on a lighter note...would like to update on d Light of my life; Arissa Sofea.

Arissa's updates as at 23 April 2010 (Friday):

Age: 2 years & 3 weeks old

Height: 80 cm

Weight: 15 kg

Arissa is growing up really fast & is now able to:

- Recognize shapes; triangle, square, circle

- Recognize colours; PINK, purple, blue, yellow, orange, red

- Point out & identify animals especially her fav ones; cat, horse, tiger, squiyel (squirrel),

  yat (rat) & many others

- Sing along ABC right up to Z

- Count 1 till 10!

- Identify 'UPIN & IPIN' when she sees them in magazines/ tv & right away say...'Betul2'!

  (in Upin & Ipin's tone, but less by one 'betul' ;p)

- Arissa is friendly & LOVES to make friends with kids her age whenever she sees

  one...tak  kire in the lift, or at d pool, or at d park, at shopping malls to...Good 

  girl kawan semua orang! 

- Likes to say 'makan' while pushing back Mummy's hand to mummy's mouth if she refuse  

  to eat her food. Her way of saying  - 'I dont wna eat mummy, you eat it'.

- Arissa loves to swim/ play around in the pool at home tapi kesian dia takde geng nak  

  main...she gets bored after a while coz main sorang2 & prefers to look at other kids in

  the pool

- Loves to say...'Ayer, water' (Dua2 sekali when referring to water)

- Obsessed with Barney!!! For now mummy only managed to get for baby, Barney's water tumbler & CDs (Every single minute watch d 3 CDs interchangeably smpai ada yg da stuck2) . Been looking around for d medium sized soft toy but tak jumpe lagi. Only d huge talking one available & cost RM180! Insya'Allah klau mummy ada rezeki lebih, will get for you yer baby...Siann baby mummy!

- Arissa is also very attached to mummy nowadays. Baru ilang kejap pegi dapur dah jerit/ nangis carik mummy. Mummy masuk toilet pun, nangis jgak...nak masuk toilet. Basically kene nmpak 'kelibat' mummy..kalau tak nangis. On top of dat, Arissa loves to hug & kiss mummy every now and then. Best sangat! Terasa diri is very much needed & appreciated...on TOP OF THE WORLD feeling ;)

HARI INI DALAM SEJARAH!

Finally did it! Been 2 days now dat I successfully workout for 1 full hour @ d gym. 15 minutes of threadmill, 15 mins of cycling, 15 mins of weight-lifting & another 15 mins of various workouts. Big PHEWWW & FUHHHH! Mane taknyer coz been super ages tak exercise...last mase 2008 before knowing dat I was pregnant with Arissa Sofea ;)

Anyways, semangat bangun 6.30am this morning & was @ d gym by  6.50am. Tu pun, all 3 functioning threadmill dah occupied. So, just headed straight for d stationary bike. Planning to go again 2mro Insya'allah kalau tak flat out, coz lil gal oso has been staying up late & mummy pun kene ikut tempo dia. Sib baik am on leave these few days.

Hopefully my new exercise regime would pay off & get to shed d excess inches from d problem areas...Urghhh! Praying real hard...

Really need to update on my lil Angel's milestones & development, doin injustice to her coz this blog supposedly acts as a logbook for Arissa. Well, mummy's lil gal is all grown up now...

So many things that she has 'achieved' - seeing from mummy's view memangla nampak banyak sangat wonderful things that she is able to do now & everyday she learns new things/ keletah yg pelbagai. Kadang2 mummy gelak sendiri tengok baby mummy ;p Tak payah nk watch TV, coz watching Arissa herself dah entertaining


- Like yesterday, I sneezed & she said "Mummy sneesh" then got up on her feet & walked around while saying 'tissue2'...Oh joy, anak mummy memang sangat menjaga kesihatan & hygene...Goody! Well, she couldnt find any tissue around, just a 'baju kurung' that was already folded on the table. She took d 'baju kurung' & put it against my nose & mouth and said 'Wipe mummy - tissue'! Haha....cute! Anything goes for d lil one - 'make do with what we have' concept :) Clever gal!


- Creative mind working...nowadays if Arissa sees/ comes across tupperware/ basket that is round/oblong - she would put it on her head & say 'Helmet' ;p Sometimes she even asks mummy to put on 'helmet'. When she comes across a skrew yg 'terkeluar a bit' - looks a bit like a pipe on the 'tempat sidai laundry', she would say 'Mummy, wash hand' & act as if she's washing her hands ;)

- Says 'Peash' (please) in a kesian tone which you can't say NO to...everytime she requests for something/ do something for her & 'Thanks' everytime we do a favour for her


- Able to form short sentences; 'Arissa fall down', 'Mummy's car same/ Ayah's car same' - when she sees a black MyVI/ wira of d same colour as her Ayah's on the road.


- Loves to dance to d tunes of 'Barney'; esp 'Ring A Ring A Roses' & Elmo/ other Sesame Street characters tunes/ songs. So into her collection of CDs...would play it come rain or shine.

          Current overplayed/overused but precious CD collection

- Current fav food - 'SYUP' (soup) - pelatla anak mummy ni...or any noodle/ kuey toew based dishes. Somehow she has some Chinese blood in her coz she lurvesss 'syup' a lot & can't seem to have enuff of 'mee goreng mamak'...Indian blood too? haha!

- Knows how 2 put words to use...

• - 'best'...mmmm, 'sadap' (sedap), siap ngn facial expession esp bile mkn 'syup'

• - 'masham' (masam) - when she refuse 2 drink her milk. So, gune alasan susu dah basi/ masam!
• - 'panas'...and 'hot' interchangeably
• - ever fav phrase 'NO NEED' & 'DOWAN' (don't want)
• - 'SHOYIE' (sorry), with hand gesture - pat hand of d person yg she is apologizing to ;p
• - 'Tak per'...Errr, this one am not sure from whom she learned this word. She used it on me just now "Takpe mummy', when I told her to take of her clothes & bathe...hmmm!
• Many others, cant recall for now - 2.00am already & I still cant sleep!

- Oh yes, Arissa also 'pandai mengadu' already. She mentioned to mum in law that day out of d blue..."Ayah 'pokol' (pukul), Mummy 'pon' (pun) pokol!...Ayoyo, susahla mummy & ayah like this. Tapi Arissa yg notty gal...or else sure we dont 'pokol' ;p

- Arissa recognizes Mummy's work place - says 'Mummy office' & points to Menara TM everytime we pass by near Menara TM. Arissa also knows  & able to identify TM's logo when she sees one - 'Mummy TM'...Oh boy, sangat loyal baby mummy ni pada TM. Kalau boss besar tau sure dia proud.

GUILTY As Charged!

I feel really sorry for my lil gal coz she has been SOOOO deprieved of mummy's attention & affection...all due to WORK! On Monday, 29 March 2010 dropped off Arissa @ ibu's house before leaving for work as always. Suprisingly, when I passed her to ibu...she turned & grabbed me while crying 'Mummy'! She cling on & hugged my legs and requested me to carry her. This has never happen before...I was confused. Nape anak mummy ni?

Then, I figured...she must be missing me a LOT! Been coming home late daily...average of 9pm and working like a DOG on both Saturdays & Sundays till late evening too. I was filled with GUILT to d MAX...Kesian sangat baby mummy. She's also been quite clingy these few weeks.

Hmmm....Mummy will try to make up for all d times lost nanti ye baby ;) Meantime, mummy has no choice but to work like a Bull. Whatever it is, MUMMY LOVES YOU VERY MUCH BABY!

1 Month Anniversary ;)

Been soo bogged down with Annual Report & work...just dont have time to update on my life updates. Nways, feels just like yesterday we we packing & getting all excited to shift to our new house. Fretting everytime we had to travel back to our house in Puchong...coz rase tak sampai2 - jauh!

Time flies really with a capital 'F'...We moved in to our new house @ Villawangsamas (VW)on 27 Feb 2010 (Saturday) and last week 27 March(also a Saturday) was exactly one month as permanent residents at VW. And so far, baru sekali je managed to go for a swim...gym - tak sempat jenguk pun lagi coz been working late daily till 9/9ish at nite. Oh boy, hopefully when d dreaded Annual Report production I would have my 'life' back!!!

Back to d story of our home sweet home...still havent managed 2 go scouting for a suitable carpet for our living room. Sorry Tok Jan, we havent had d time to go (My uncle; Pak Jan would like to buy us a gift for our new home...so, I requested for a carpet). We are also looking for a nice painting to brighten up our living area coz our theme is Black & White...

Feels good to be home after a full day work...ah yes, i lurve 'Penchala Link' & 'DUKE' coz it only takes 15 minutes to go home from the agency @ Damansara Perdana to W. Maju...YIPEE!


On another note, FINALLY got my hp repaired fully last Saturday too. So, more than a month too without my hp camera. Am so happy...can snap3 again ;)

MR HUBBY's SPECIAL TREAT

Decided to go for Mr Hubby's spa treat ('upah' kemas, clean, pack & unpacking from old house 2 d new house) foreseeing the Super Bz week ahead! Called Jojoba Spa & they confirmed there's a free slot @ 8.30pm. Immediately said, OK. The spa was @ Berjaya Times Square Hotel, BB. I was speechless d moment I entered d spa...WOW! 

                So 'SPA-LICIOUS'!

BEST kan..belum lagi feel d treatment...Next, had to choose which scrub for my treatment. I choose the 'Lulur Scrub' coz had d least 'busuk' smell (nutmeg -eiuww) & d most nicest effect - memutihkan & melembapkan. I loike!

BACK IN ACTION!

Been super ages...almost a month since I last updated. So many happenings but so lil time!

HOME SWEET HOME ;)

Alhamdulillah last 27 Feb 2010, we officially moved into our new house @ Villawangsamas or Arissa says it 'Villawangsa-NAS' ;) Real tiring coz had to solely pack all our things & clean up d house. Then, moving on to d new house oso same things unpacking, cleaning up & arranging things.FUHH! Whole body was tired out & aching. But Mr Hubby kata 'Sabar'...rupenyer he has something installed for me...A spa pampering session treat ;) (All smiles!) Thank you By! Goin 4 d session tomorrow I think.

So far, only once I had d chance to swim @ d pool. Other days got home fr office each time after d sun has set. Basically = NO LIFE!

Dream of goin  2 d gym, yet to be realized. Perhaps after d peak period at work is over. But syukur, goin home now really feels like 'Home Sweet Home'...to know that its ur very own home, d environment which makes u feel like ur on vacation at a hotel/ resort ;) Thank you so much Abang By for d lovely home...Love u bunches!

LIL ANGEL ARISSA SOFEA

Time flies, my baby boo will be 2 end on this month Insya'Allah! Sucha big gal aready. Arissa can now:

- Combine words to make short 3/ 4 word sentences. "Mummy go work"..."

- Recognizes our house...everytime at d traffic light turning she wud say; "Mummy houshe" (house).

- Count 1, 2, 3, 4,5 till 10 altho sometimes tersasul jgak...1,2,3, 6, 10!

- Sing along with mummy 'ABC' rite till d part 'What are u going 2 do about me'!

- Eat a lil bit more that her usual 1/2 spoons of rice. She is soo into chicken, fish especially when its fried. She can also take rice & bread. The Appeton is finally taking its toll.

WORK

Usual2, same old2, everytime I bring up d topic of transferring...Mr Big boss wud flip & say tunggu dulu till finish evaluation all...bla3! So, am still in 'tunggu dulu' mode. Doin my job with d crap working ppl around me...Oh d things I have to bear! Shux & SUX BIG TIME! Malasla nk cerita. Ni pun ada kat office...doin my Annual Report photo shoot. Somehow d talent's dress tak kene...so, kene balik umah & find another more suitable baju. While I'me stuck here till d shoot ends. Most probs 5pm or 6pm! DAMN!

Oh ya, still havent gotten my hp camera repaired. Sedey tul! Will further update nanti....Taaa!

Moments missed...

Keep on feeling down & dull these few days...health-wise, work-wise (memang sokmo nie...). DOWN jgak coz not able to capture moments of my lil angel in action (yg semamangnye colorful dgn mcm2 aksi) coz my hp's camera kapput! Semua gara2 sebab 'chief tuan besar' called when I was on leave (kacau jer tau) and mase nk answer tu my hp terjatuh!!! WARGHHHHHHHH :(

Brought to Service Centre for repair but no camera in stock. Called few times still stock tak sampai & when asked, usual expected answer..."Dunno when new stock will arrive, try check with service centre in OU". WTH!!!

Looks like I still gotta wait till after CNY to get it fixed la. Meantime, missing all d precious moments...

World is Round...

What goes around really does come around rite? Continuation of my 'Under the weather' topic...remember how I mentioned Chief Man just brushed off when I told him I was down with hi-fever. Well today, got a dramatic sms from yours truly saying that he's been sick since over d weekend & had to have injection but still is unwell. HAH! Allah Maha Kaya...

That's for saying that 'aii, tak kan jatuh toilet lagi kot'?! when he came looking for me & I was not at my cubicle. Actual reality, I had informed my neighbour colleague that am going to the clinic...SHISHHH!

 

Under the Weather

Last Friday (5 Feb), started shivering like nobody's business noon onwards. Weird coz everyone else didnt have the chill. Had to take time out & slept in the surau where it was warmer. After a bowl of hot soup during lunch, was still shivering & felt weaker.

Decided to go d clinic, luckily clinic is just within office building & yeap, Dr confirmed that I had d high fever bug and advised me to go back straight (was 3.30pm dat time). But knowing 'Chief man' he would never let me off eventho I said 'i feel like dying'. True to my thoughts, he told me do some stuff & complete this and that- ohhh, such human behaviour (NOTTT!!!) tho i mentioned was down with fever, real bad body ache & dizzines!

Meantime, tried calling Mr Hubby few times & smsed him but no reply. Wanted to ask him to fetch me coz I definately cudnt drive - too weak. But no news from him - funny thing is, he said he never received any missed calls/ sms. Had to resort to ibu coming by LRT (kesian ibu- saviour as always...love you Bu!) & drove me home in my car.

On Sunday nite plak, was down with really bad tummy ache - between diarrohea & gastric. Really bad i tell yer, even felt like vomitting! So, went 2 the Dr again & got some medication but to date still rase2 'nak muntah' & 'berangin' in the tummy. Oh boy, what a BAD weekend i had!

To top it all, at nite had 2 wake up few times coz Arissa was crying - still getting use to not having her 'dummy'/ pacifier. Dahla  kepal berat & badan aching...in the end, I succumbed to giving Arissa her 'back-up/ 2ns dummy....WARGHHHH! But what a relief...she slept quite peacefully after that - same goes for Mummy ;)

DUMMY GONE!

Yesterday, 3 Feb 2010 was history! Arissa's 'dummy'/ pacifier which she used from d day she was just few days old 'terkoyak' - worn out, almost 2 years now anyways. High time to koyak.

So, Arissa refused her dummy for d very first time - kalau tak tak mau renggang pun & every now and then, 'teddy-a'2 (referring to her dummy/ pacifier coz slalu package sekali ngn Mr Teddy aka bantal busuk dia). 

Guess it felt weird in her mouth...I was like 'Ohh, goody ;)' coz been trying to get her to stop sucking on her dummy. Nampak so buruk when she jalan2 around with her dummy in her mouth esp now coz she's a big girl aready. Arissa's wan oso advised me not to but new dummy for her or else she wud think that Mummy can always easily get her a new dummy everytime her dummy rosak. 

Am happy too that yesterday nite, she sleep thru d nite without crying for her dummy & after her feeding at 4am this morning too she did not ask for it. Oh boy, hopefully she'll be off her dummy today onwards...Insya'Allah!

On another note, one of Arissa's fav phrase now when a person/ thing is not around when she's looking for it - she wud say 'GONE'. So, its always; Mummy GONE, Ayah GONE (When we're off to work), Wan GONE (Arissa's wan off to d shop/ market & she's left with her Nyang), Awa (my 2nd brother- Anwar) GONE, Asha (3rd &4th sis- Aisha/Zkya...she cant quite pronounce Kiyah yet- so combo 2 aunties dia sekali) - when they're off to campus/ hostel again.

So, yeah...Dummy GONE! Weeehu ;)

Curtain Hunting

Updates on new home...renovation in progress & due to complete before d CNY insya'Allah. Most weekends are filled with curtain hunting activity...from MACY, IKEA to Nagoya & also Jusco. Measurements for some of d areas; sliding door, master bedroom and Arissa's room are slightly more than d standard measurements - not able to settle for d ready made ones at Jusco altho they do have quite nice collections. 

I've been eye-ing this fuchia coloured ones with cute 'fawer' (as how Arissa pronounces "flower") for Arissa's room but too bad! Basically have to custom made & MACY is quite pricey...ones dat are quite ok goes from a minimal of RM 40 per metre just for d fabric! Itu havent added on cost for 'pattern' of curtain i.e roman blinds, french pleats, etc...cost for sewing & other2 cost. Oh ya, we also had d MACY free measurement curtain service come to our house & he quoted minimum price of RM 2K (5 areas/windows). He also share info that MACY charged for every lil thing (even small curtain clips that cost 40 sen) & usually no discounts given. 

As for IKEA, choices not much to my liking & Mr Hubby said he heard reviews that d curtains are not dat good. Not too sure bout that.

My dear friend Asrin gave high recommendations to do at Nagoya. Went there & they said to get my curtain railings installed first and come back after that to proceed with purchasing of fabric, curtain pattern, etc. Basically, selection memang banyak kat Nagoya & price oso not that bad from as low as RM 10 per metre right up to RM 15 per metre. S

Intend to go back to VillawangsaMas today & measure my windows - final measurement hopefully. I think I'll go with Nagoya...

Hurt...

Had quite a rough day on Sunday...all things dat cud go wrong, went wrong! And it got worst when d person whom u most expected to give support & motivation when things get rough...was d one who actually let u down and left u being demotivated. SAD!

Hmm, will certainly not forget dat day and yeah, I still 'kecik ati' with dat person :( & d person doesnt know...

Updates on New Home ;)

So far alhamdulillah all on track...we have submitted our defects report to the developer for rectification on 23 Jan. Hopefully it can be done soon & we can move in faster.

As of today, Mr Hubby said he has paid d contractor to do up grille for d house, plaster ceiling & lightings wiring. Work will most prob-ly start tomorrow & finish by 11 Feb. 

On 26 Jan, after reaching home from Mr Hubby's hometown we went curtain survey-ing & furniture hunting lagi...this time around for a suitable tv cabinet. Since its always so hard for us to take leave & we were already on leave we might as well make full use of our leave...So, we found a quite simple tv cabinet & a mirror to give the 'more spacious' effect ;p

Anways, something that I'de like to share is an e-mail that I receive from Mr Hubby on our new home progress...being the meticulous & planner person that he is. The e-mail is no suprise - simply one of the reasons I LOVE MR HUBBY! So organized...This is the excerpt:

Mr Hubby memang suke plan semenjak dari sebelum kahwin. When we wanted to get married he even had a checklist, perhaps of his 'events management background'. Anyways, initially, we wanted to move in to the new house on 20 Feb but Mr Hubby sedduenly got to know that he has mid-sem exams that day. So, gotta postpone. Will update later, Mr Hubby ajak balik dah (still at d office now)...Taa!

Insya'Allah tomorrow @ 11.00am, we will be collecting keys to our new house...FUTURE HOME SWEET HOME ;) Seriously can't wait...Have requested 1/2 day leave & syukur Boss bagi green light.
